The World According To Garp

I watched this movie at 'History of American Literature class' on Monday. I like this class very much. Professor Mukai's lecture is always very interesting to me. We watch some movies in this class and have to write reports. The movie we watched this semester is very interesting. It called 'The World According To Garp'. Garp is the main character's name in this movie. His mother Jenny made him with a injured soldier in the hospital which Jenny works as a nurse. She wanted to have a baby, but didn't want to marry to man or obey men's orders. She taught 'It is the chance!' when she saw the dying man was erecting. Then she rode on the man. She is a very eccentric woman. She has the strong, unique belief, and doesn't care what other people think about it. She just always does what she wants to do and what she thinks right. I like her character and way to live very much! She is a very attractive, wonderful woman, I think. The main story of this movie is about Garp and Jenny's life. It's not just a happy life story, there are a lot of serious, dark things in this movie as same as our real life. Though, I still think that life is wonderful after watching this movie. And I really think this is a very good movie!

I’m a second year student of KGU. My major is English. I like other countries cultures very much. I’ve bee living in Kumamoto with my family for twenty years. The schedule

I took a reservation at a hospital in Fukuoka because I need to take a medical examination for visa. I went to a store near my house to buy tickets of bus to Fukuoka. My friend works at the store so I bought them from him. Though, I forgot to get a schedule from him that time. I realized that after I got home. I didn't want to go back the store just for it, so I asked him in an email to bring it to my house after his work. He said OK to my favor, and came by my house just few minutes ago! He's very sweet. He's been always sweet to me, I know that. Now I'm ready to go to Fukuoka. Thank you, Ma-kun!

I finished applying for VISA

I finally finished applying for visa! It was tough to me. I couldn't get clearly what the meaning of some questions, but it's OK. I finished form and got TRN, whatever. The next thing I have to do is to take a medical examination in Fukuoka. Though, before that, I have to take TOEFL tomorrow morning. I've been busy these days so I haven't had time to study for TOEFL. I hope my score won't go down, at least.

Takoyaki Party

All students who will go to Australia or New Zealand had a class of crisis management yesterday. After the class, I and the member who will go to Australia together and Brendan (Is this spell collect?) an international student from Australia went shopping to a supermarket. We bought many food and beer, and had a Takoyaki Party at the one of members place. It was the first time for me to make Takoyaki, but it was exciting. We put many food in it like cheese, kimchi, red pickled ginger and so on. It was delicious. Brendan also made a dish for us. I don't remember the name of it, but it was delicious, too. We ate and talked a lot. Brendan said his father has his own cafe in Melbourne, and his father will discount us if we tell him 'We know your son!'. We will go the cafe soon if we arrive at Melbourne.

To improve my writing

I borrowed these books from KGU's library because I want to improve my writing skill. I think my writing is better than before. It is not so difficult to write some plane sentences in English now. But still, it is difficult for me to write smooth sentences. My sentences are often starts with same subject. I don't like that. It looks like the sentences a little child writes. So I borrowed these books and learned from them. One of them is the book for English discussion but I think I can use some phrase when I write logical papers. The other book called 'Eigo de kaku kihon ga minituku hon' is very useful. I learned many things I'd wanted to. I think it will help my writing very much. If you worry your writing skill, I recommend this book!

A year-end party

We had a year-end party at the wedding hall where I 'm working. About 100 people came there. All of them are working there, but who I know were only few people. The tables were prepared for each groups, like a table for photographers, a table for concierges and so on. There were 2 tables for us, so all elder women sat at one table and all young people sat at the other one. The young people were only 3 including me, so we could use a lot of spaces. We just ate dishes earnestly.We payed 2000 yen for the party, so we tries to recover the cost. After few minutes, a karaoke contest was held. I didn't entered, but one of the elder woman who always works with me entered the contest, and she won the prize! Her performance was very amazing. She kissed one of the judge men... Anyway, it warmed up the party. And what we'd worried is the cleaning after the party. We'd taught we should wash all dishes we used the night after the party over, because that's our job. I told that some guys who always works as waiters. Then all of them said me 'I will help you. If you need any hands, just call me!' , but they walked away quickly...what a sweet guys. Fortunately, we had not to wash them the night. We were told that's OK to do that when we come there next time, so we could return to home quickly.

Shiroi Kyoto

One of the most famous Japanese drama 'Shiroi Kyoto' reruns now in the after noon. I was very excited to realize that. I love this drama! I can't take my eyes away whenever I watch it. And it always makes me very moved. The story is very deep.
The main character is Goro Zaizen, who works at an university hospital as a surgeon and has big ideas. He always has been wanted to be a professor, but the dream is not easy to come true even if he has an excellent operation skill. He makes every endeavor to be a professor. He plays many dirty tricks. His dream comes true, but the way he does makes him trouble. One day, his arrogant kills one of his patients, and the survivors accuse him and his university hospital. It makes all people who works the hospital and their family agonize. If they tell the truth at a court, they can't live like before anymore. But their conscience stung them.

Sara Says No!

This is the story about a daughter and her father who sell fruit at a market. Sara's father is not honest. He always cheats his customers for money. Sara tells him not to do that but her father just keeps saying that's for their life. Sara says a prayer in her room for her and her father. Then, the next morning, a strange thing happens. Every fruits Sara's father touches goes bad! It makes him cannot sell fruits by his hands anymore. Sara starts to sell fruits instead of him. She is honest, and makes a lot of money. Sara's father stays home and does all house works instead of her. He says 'It's also a life'.

TYPING10 FREE TIME

I like reading books very much, so when I have free time, I read some books. I like any kinds of books but I especially like novels. My favorite writer is Banana Yoshimoto. I’ve read a lot of her books. I like all of her books but I like ‘nankurunai’ the best. This is the story about a woman who had mental damages goes to Okinawa and heal her mental injuries. This is very good story. I also read in English sometime. I’ read a lot of English books in this semester. Sometime, I go out with my friends or my family. My family all loves hot springs, so we often go there. When I go out with my friends, we often go shopping (123 words)
