June 27

I had a boring class today. Now I'm taking a business English course. I like all of my classmates and enjoy another teachers classes, but I don't like today's teacher's classes. His explanation is not clear and his pronounciation is hard to understand. Plus, I think he doesn't prepare enough for classes. I usually don't like his class and often fell asleap, but today's class was especially horrible. I complained with Korean guy who sat next to me during the class.

My Holiday

My 10 days holiday finished this Sunday. I went to Sydney during my last holiday, but I didn't go anywhere special in this time. I had just relaxing time. I went out for shopping with my friends couple of times, and went to the birthday party of my friend's boyfriend on Saturday. I spent all of other time with my one of Japanese friends who lives near my house. He is the only Japanese student who lives in the same town as me, so we spent time together every weekends. We always just stay at either of our house and study together. We also make our lunch by ourselves. I can't cook at all, so my friend always teach me how to do it. He calls it 'cooking class for you'. I feel I really need to learn cooking from my mother after I go back to Japan.

Love Actually

I watched "Love Actually" at my house. I'd watched this movie before once. In that time, I didn't think this is not that good movie, but in this time, I found it is very incredible one.
This movie shows that there are a lot of kinds of love in our lives. Love between men and women, sisters and brothers, fathers and sons, and friends... And the movie also shows that love is not always just a thing make you happy. It sometimes brings you a great sadness and agony. Though, I still thought love is wonderful after I watched this movie, and I miss Christmas!

Just Married

My host family has a lot of DVD, so I borrow them and watch in my room when I have nothing to do. I want to watch all of DVD before I leave this house. Anyway, I watched the movie which called 'Just Married'. This is a love comedy. A guy and a woman fall in love and decide to get marry very soon. The woman whose name is Sarah is from a very rich family and they are not so happy about the maridge. The guy whose name is Tom is a guy who loves sports and doesn't have any interests about fancy things. Sarah and Tom are very different, but they get marry because they love each other very much. They think everything is going well, but it isn't... Their perfectly-planned European honeymoon becomes a tragedy.

Zoo

I went to a zoo with my host family. It was a special zoo and all animals which are there are Australian animals. I saw a lot of Australian animals such as koara, kangaroo, tasmanian devil, emmue and so on. The koara was much bigger than I had imagined and very massive. Now my image of koara changed.

I finished 3rd term

I graduated my third class on Friday and I have 10 days holiday now!
I attended morning class and after that, I went to eat Saudi Arabian food with a Japanese friend and two Saudi Arabian friends. My Japanese friend Ko-chan is a good friend of them and he often goes to eat with them, and most of time, it's all their treat! I was always envy him because he always eats delicious dishes for free.
Though, that day, I finally could go with them! I ate Kapsa which is a kind of fried rice with meat and vegetables. It was delicious and it was all on Saudi Arabian friends!
I was very happy to eat delicious food for free.

Different World

Samantha is a 18-year-old girl who cannot hear anything because of her illness. She fell in love with a guy who works at the store in front of her house. She goes to the shop to meet him, but she can't say anything to him. One day, she meets him at a party and gets along with him. She feels very happy, though a girl who calls herself his girlfriend appears in front of Samantha and says, 'You can't make him happy because you can't hear his music which means the world to him!'. Samantha is very shocked by her words. She feels she lives the different world from him.

Boku ha benkyou ga dekinai

I borrowed this book from one of my friends. Now I miss Japanese novels more than any other things! I can see now how much I like Japanese sentences. I knew that I like reading very much and I also like reading in English, but I didn't know I like Japanese Language so much! I guess it is impossible for me to live without Japanese books. I was very happy when I got this book from my friend and I already finished the book in 2 days. I tried to take a long time to read it because I have no other books to read, but I couldn't help myself.

The main character in this novel is a 17-year-old boy Hidemi Tokita, who is not good at studying but loved by many girls. He likes playing soccer and has a good relationship with an elder woman who works at a bar. He doesn't care if people call him stupid, because he doesn't think it is important whether people get good marks on their tests or not. He has his original sense of value, same as his grandfather and mother.
I like Hidemi's relationship with his family. It seems little strange at first sight, because the have very different sense of value from other people. Though they never care about it and proud the way they live. I think they live very honestly, and that's why they can trust and love each other. I think they are precious family.

What I'm thinking about

I hadn't written for a long time.
It past more than three months after I came Australia. Now I'm used to a life here. It is very natural for me to spend everyday in Australia and it is more difficult to imagine a life in Japan.

Now I have a completely different life here from Japan. I wake up everyday in my new bed, meet and talk with new friends, study with classmates from different countries... It's all different from what I had in Japan.
I'm very enjoying life in Australia, but to be honest, I sometime feel strange and confused... I still do.

Actually, I feel strange these days.
Some of my friends also ask me 'What's on your mind? You sometime look strange these days.'
Well, I'm not sure what's wrong with me by myself. I'm usually thinking about so many things in my mind, so I'm not sure which one occurs this feeling. But... I guess it's because I'm worrying about my future.

I really like living here very much and feel happy that I could come here. That's why I'm afraid of the days after finishing staying here. I know I can't stay here and be with all people whom I met here forever. It will be completely changed one day and I'm afraid that day. I'm thinking what I can do now for my future.

Yoshinoya!

We went to Yoshinoya in Sydney!
There is no Yoshinoya in Melbourne, so it was very valuable time.
We all were very impressed. We went to Yoshinoya two times during we were staying in Sydney. It was nice. I wish there was Yoshinoya in Melbourne... but we have Ajisen-ramen in Melbourne, so that's ok.

Last Night on the trip

Trip to Sydney & Canberra

I had a 5 days trip to Sydney & Canberra!
It was a very cheap trip for students, so we had to go to Sydney from Melbourne by bus. It took 12 hours! My host mother said I'm crazy when I told her it. I also thought I'm crazy, yeah. But actually, it wasn't that bad at all, because I slept all the time on the bus. One of my friends stayed my house the night before the day, and we talked until morning, so I was very sleepy on the bus.
The trip was very nice. We could go many famous places like an opera house, Blue mountains, beautiful beach... and every nights, we bought a lot of alcohol and potato chips, and talked earnestly until late. Actually, it was the funnest part to me. I could think and discuss about a lot of things with them. I think it was one of the precious experience to me.

Class Excursion

I had a class excursion on Wednesday.
Most of classes have their own excursion in last week. We go somewhere with our class teacher and classmates. It's very fun!
I went to Gold class cinema with my teacher and classmates.
Gold class cinema is higher class cinema. There are only 25 seats and you can relax with an extremely comfortable chair. It's reeeeeeally nice!
We can order wine or champagne but they are expensive, so we didn't order anything. Just enjoyed chair. I love this chair. I wish I could have this one in my home...
I couldn't understand the movie but I enjoyed gorgeous time very much.
Then after that, we had lunch at a terrace. It was a beautiful day.

Great Ocean Road

I went to Great Ocean Road yesterday!
There were really beautiful ocean views.
Some people say it's little boring because similar views continue for the long time, though I enjoyed it very much because I like oceans.
The color of blue is very beautiful. It's very clear.
I imagined how can I express if I draw the picture of it.
I want to draw pictures!!

Anyway, I also rode a helicopter.
It was little expensive but very nice. And I could take pictures with cool guys, so it's ok.

Girls' Afternoon

I went to Eagle bar with my female classmates after the school yesterday.
Yesterday was Monday and all students except La Trobe University's ones were on holiday. I don't know why only we had to go to school. That's unfair!
But I enjoyed the time with girls after school, so it was OK.
We drank a juice and talked together. It was nice.
My classmates Chihiro-chan and Maki-chan will go back to Japan soon. So many other Japanese students will leave here next week.
It's very sad. I want to keep touching with them after they leave.

The Hottest Day

These are pictures which we took at St.Kilda beach.
Actually, we went there on February 17.
It was very exciting day, but also, it was very hard day to me.
I live in a place in different direction from other friends, so we promised to meet at the tram station near the school. I planed to go there by train and bus, but even how long I waited for a bus, it didn't come. I got panicked because I didn't have any time table and there weren't any information.
I called to Honkawa-san and said 'Sorry to keep you waiting so long. Buses don't come at all and I don't even know it will come or not. So just leave me and go to the beach with other members now.' But he said 'Don't worry. We can meet you. Take your time.' I thought how sweet they are. Though, any buses didn't come even I waited over an hour. It made me very frustrated, then I decided to walk to the tram station. I didn't have any maps and didn't know the direction of the tram station. I asked people where is it and walked(ran) the all way alone in a crazy hot summer day for about fifty minutes.
Then, I finally could meet friends!!
I was very very glad to meet them, but I felt very badly at the same time. I made them wait for me about two hours! That's too...crazy. I had no idea how to say sorry to them. I felt really terrible and exhausted already before reached to the beach.
But once I went in to the water, I was completely revival!
I enjoyed swimming and watching topless girls very much.
It was a very hot day.

Stayed at Momoko-san's house

I stayed at Momoko-san's place with another friend Saori-chan last night. We all were very tired, but our girls-talk didn't stop until three thirty. It's always fun to talk and listen about romance. All girls love that.
Then we three slept in one bed together. It was kinda cute!

The house Momoko-san staying is very cute!
The color of walls and stairs are pale pink. It's very dreamy.
And there is a very cute teddy bear in the corner of Momoko-san's room. I envy her. I want to have a toy animal in my room. I wonder someone will give me one...

1 month anniversary

It spent one month after we arrived in Australia. So we went to a Korean restaurant and celevlated ourselves.
I love Korean food, but I hadn't eaten it since I came to Australia, so I really enjoyed it.
We could ordere kimchi for free as much as we want. We ordered a lot of kimchi and those were very delicious. It was very nice dinner.

After that, we went to Yarra river to watch fire works. It was our first purpose to come to the city. There is a festival now in the city, so we can see fire works Saturday to Monday nights. It's for only about 10 minutes, but it was beautiful.

Party at Eagle Bar

I went to the party which was hold at Eagle bar last night. Eagle bar is in La Trobe University, and there is a party on every Thursday night. A lot of Australian students and international students come there.
My host mother said,'You can get lovely Australian boys there', but I couldn't do that yesterday.
Though, it was very fun night. We drank, talked, and danced a lot. We enjoyed doing them very much.
But a lot of men hitted on us and some of them were scary.
Especially some Indians. They were very persistent. They bothered us a lot.
I think we need to bring at least one guy whenever we go there.

My class

Hello, everyone!

Long time no see, but I'm still living!

Well, the school has started from 18th, so I have been very busy. Especially in the first week.

I was in a very high level class in the first week. I wonder why I was in that class.

My test score was that good? I heard most of people starts 4A class even if they had a really good score, because EFS(English for Further Studies) course is really difficult.

Though, I started 4B class without taking 4A class so... it was terrible.

I didn't even know how to write an academic essay. I've never written those kinds of essay, so I couldn't do anything about it.

I've never learned the way to note-taking,too. All students and teachers use the short form letters in the class, so it sometime was hard to understand for me.

And the most hardest thing was vocabulary.

This class was very high academic class, so the words they use are all very difficult! It was very natural to all student except me. They use those difficult words in their conversation. I couldn't believe it. I was the only one who couldn't speak English very fluently.

I tried to do my best in this class, but it was too difficult to me.

I called to my family in Japan with crying, and said 'sorry..., I can't take this class anymore.'

It was hard to say, because I knew that my family was very happy to hear that I'm in a very high class.

Though, my family said, 'That's OK. You don't need to worry about money. There is no meaning if you can't enjoy your school.', so I changed my class to General English course.

My new class is quite good.

We read some difficult articles and discuss about it, but also we read novels in the class or learn

general conversations. And all other classmates are very gentle and friendly. So now I'm enjoying my school♪

I've got baggages from Japan

I got my baggages from Japan last night!

It's hot recently here, but the first day I came to Australia was very cold! It was very shocked to me. I thought it's hot in Australia, and I brought many many camisoles in my suits case.
That night, I told my mom in an e-mail 'Send me winter clothes as soon as you can! Or I will die!!', so she sent me many coats.

It's very amazing that I can have things which I used in Japan, I think.
Actually, I'm moved about it.
I just thought, when I opened the boxes, 'Oh, you guys(I mean, the baggages) came from far far away across the sea! That's really amazing! That's so sweet!'
Am I strange?
But I'm really moved!

By the way, my mom also sent me some daily stuffs. I could find モーモーせっけん in the box! It made me very happy. I like モーモーせっけん very much! I think this is one of the most wonderful products in Japan! The real name is 牛乳石鹸? but I just call it モーモーせっけん and it's wonderful! It smells soft and bubbles are very creamy.
I washed my body with it last night. It was really really nice♪

February 16

It is very good weather today!
Though, I have no plan today...
Well, I can go shopping or something alone if I want but... I just want to relax today. So I just stay at home and clean my room, read some books, write blogs, maybe study a little... or just watch another DVD.
It's not bad.

By the way, these pictures are inside of the house I'm staying.
It's so nice, huh?

February 11

I went to the city with Yukari-san, Momoko-san, and Honkawa-san.
It was the first time we all could meet together in Australia after we separate. I could meet Yukari-san because our house is near (though, she lives at the next station's area) but I didn't know where does Momoko-san and Honkawa-san live, so it was hard to have a contact.
Though, we could meet together tododay!

We went to Brendan's fathers cafe to have a lunch this afternoon.
It was very nice place, and Brendan's father is very gentle.
He gave us some kinds of dishes. All of them were very delicious! And we could eat them free!
Brendan's father said,'It's ok. Brendan will pay this' ha-ha.
Thank you Brendan!

And after that, we went to an aquarium.
Unbelievably, we could have discounts with KGU student ID! Actually, I didn't have KGU student ID, but I pretend to have it, and I got a discount too!

It was a nice day♪

2008年2月10日日曜日

I went to the city by train

Yesterday, I took a train to the city by myself. It was my first little adventure. I promissed Yukari-san to go there together. The nearest station from her host house is next to mine, so I sat on the bench at my station's platform and waited her. Then, she called me on the telephone and she said 'I think I missed the train, so you have to get in the next one!' So I waited the train, but when it came there, I've got cofused. I wasn't sure that it is the train or not because there were some other trains. I could catch the right train, but I couldn't see Yukari-san in it. The train leves very fast so I just jumped in it. There weren't the time I found the 車両 Yukari-san in. It takes about 1 hour from my station to the city, so I was nervoused for 1 hour in the train alone. So does Yukari-san. It was very happy when I met Yukari-san at Flinders Street (the station of the city.)!
The city is very big and beautiful. We couldn't walk around all the streets for 1 day. We went in many shops but I didn't buy anything that day. Though, shopping is always a lot of fun to me!
I was very excited in the city. It was the hot day, so I could be alright just on camisole. I brought a lot of camisoles from Japan because I thought it's hot in Australia. Though, it's cold here especially the early morning and the night. I regreted that I brought so many camisoles very much. But I felt happy about that I could wear camisole yesterday.

My host house

I want to posts a lot, because I can do it now. I'm going to write about my host house and family this time. My host house is far from the school. It takes 1hour by bus, train and walking. I have to do this every day. It's so tough! Though, the host mother is very friendly and nice. She has a big history as a host mother. She had many students stayed her house before. A lot of Korean, Chinese, Japanese, and other countries' students, too. She is a professional! And also, the house is very nice. It has pool with it and my room is also nice and big. And I also heard from my host mother that other students will live this house together. Isn't it fun? It's like a international 下宿!I hadn't thought I can meet other students in my house. I want to make a lot of friends all over the world.

↑The picture is my room. It took really, really long time to up this picture.

It's not easy

I wrote before that I can use the internet whenever Iwant, but I can see now it's not right. I tried to use the internet several times after the last post, but it didn't work. And now I can use the internet but its speed is not fast. So I have to write posts or send e-mails when I can use it. It's limited but I think it's better than nothing.
The life in Australia is not easy. I mean that I can't do what I want to do and when I want to do. ( It's the really strange sentence, but I don't know how to say this.) Things never goes as well as you want in other country. So sometimes, I get the stress. I think the other international students feel the same way. Though, I still think it is very good experiences. So I'll try my best.

I'm in Australia now!

Hello, everyone! I can use the internet in Australia!
I'm staying at my host family's house now. I could connected the internet very easily but the transformer which I brought from Japan had a probrem, I think. But anyway, I can use my computer in my room whenever I want now. So please send me e-mails, friends! I want to hear from you!

The Final Job Day

Yesterday was the last day I had a part-time job. I worked at the same place for about 2 years. It is very long time but I feel it was short. Of course it wasn't always just fun to work there. Works itself is hard, and sometimes, I felt really tired. Though I think I enjoyed the job very much. There are a lot of nice people there. They made me happy all the time. I'm not sure that I'll be back to work or not after I return from Australia, but I'll be back there to meet them again.

Plans for Saint Valentine's Day

I went to downtown with my friend today. We had a lunch at J-cafe and after that, we (I) bought some chocolates for Saint Valentine's Day. It was very fun to look for chocolates. There were a lot of varieties. I bought some different kinds of chocolates because the each of guys I'm planning to give chocolates have very different characters. I think I could choose the good ones for each of them. I can't give them directly because I'll leave Japan on 7th. I'm little sad about it, but I'll ask my friends to give them the chocolates.

The Last Wedding Day

Yesterday was the last day I can meet all people who have worked together. I worked today and have one more another working day, though, I can't meet all of them anymore. I brought my camera and I took many pictures during working. I went there yesterday for taking pictures, not for working. ha-ha. It was a very fun day for me. I also got many gifts! My friend said me 'You must be very happy these days. You've been doing whatever you want. Getting many gifts, taking a lot of pictures with good-looking guys... I really envy you! Maybe, I will study abroad, too. Senegal, or somewhere like that!'
I'm really happy now♪

Packing!

I've been preparing for Australia today, though it's not an easy thing! I'll bring one carry case with me, and now I'm preparing two other boxes which sizes are really large. After I put my clothes for summer and autumn into one box, I weighed it because the cost will be decided by the weight. It was...over ten kilograms! I can't believe this! It's the weight of only clothes!

Today's Lunch

I ate a korokke-pan for my lunch today. I bought it yeasterday at the new bakery near Nishikigaoka park. The name of the store is 'Lab'. I like breads from that store. They are very delicious and the shop lady who I met yesterday is very cute! When she was calculating, she told me with smiling, ' I think this korokke-pan will make you happy! I always feel happy after I eat it.' I just taught ' How cute she is!' to hear that. I think I'm in love with her. ha-ha. Her smiling was really cute. And it was really what she said. I felt happy after eating this korokke-pan.

QUESTION 5: experience with blogging this semester

I think now I'm better at writing in English than before. I'm not sure my grammar is corrected, but I think I can write in English what I want to write easily now. Blogging was very good training to me. It wasn't so easy to write a lot of posts and sentences for the first time. It sometimes annoyed me. Though now I'm enjoying blogging and I posted a lot of pictures on my posts this semester. It made me fun to post new things.

I've got pictures with Jin-sama

My dream came true on Tuesday! I finally took pictures with Jin-sama!!! Jin-sama is working at the wedding hall where I have a part-time job. I've been longed for him since last Spring. He is a very, very good-looking guy! Whenever I met him, I always taught 'He is really handsome!' Though, it wasn't often to meet him. He is a photographer for wedding, so he is always in the hall although my work place is a washing place. Actually, I had never talked with him until that day... Anyway, I have to quite the job for studying abroad, so I told Murakami-san (a full time worker who always takes care of me) that I want to take a picture with Jin-sama as my last favor! Then, it came true! It was the very happy moment when I was with Jin-sama, but I couldn't talk with him very much because I was too excited. I wanted to ask him why his hair is always so smooth and shining...

I drunk with people who had a Jeff's TOEFL class. Surprisingly, most of all members are going to study abroad! It was a party for Australia members because we will leave Japan soon. I got nice presents from them! It was fun to talk with them and drinking a lot! I like Jeff's bar's hot chocolate. The flavor of cinnamon is very good. I want to go to Jeff's bar again before I leave Japan, though it may be impossible because I'm too busy. I want to meet Yuuji-san again! I want to eat Hanamaru-udon again!

I went to downtown with my friend yesterday. We looked around some shops and went to J-cafe to have a dinner. J-cafe is our favorite place in downtown. It's dark inside and has a good atmosphere. We can be relaxed whenever we are in there. We talked a lot there yesterday as usual. It's always fun to talk with her. She is very smart and knows me very well. We talked about our part-time job, future, memories of childhood, my unrequited love (ha-ha). We both were excited to talk, and didn't realized the time. Actually, we were there for 3 and half hours. It was a really good time. We enjoyed good drinks, food, and a conversation! I want to go there with her again!

January 17

Ryugaku-Kofu-Shiki was held on January 17 at the school. All members who will go to Oceania and Asia gathered at the main building. It was the first time for me to enter the building. The ceremony didn't take long time. Each of us got a imperative paper from a president. After that, professors asked each of us some questions. It took a little long time. ha-ha. The time all things finished was about 2 p.m. We all were very hungry, so I went to Ouchi-cafe with Honkawa-san and Momoko-san. I hadn't known that there is such a nice cafe near the university. It looks very cute and dishes are very delicious!

Coming of Age Day

We had a ceremony of Coming of Age on January 14. I left home at seven and went to downtown to prepare with my friend. After that, we went to the hall where we had a ceremony. There were a lot of people, so I couldn't find all people who I wanted to see. Though, I took many pictures. After the ceremony, I went to the wedding hall where we works with my friend. We took many pictures there, too. And also, we got a bottle of champagne!

How much did I spend?

Today, I calculated how much I spent during December and for New Year's big sale. I always write it on this note. My wasting is much less than before now. It's useful for me to write down how much I spent. I think I should have started it earlier. Anyway, I could see that I spent much more money in December than other months. It's because I went to drink more frequently this month, I think. And I spent about 45000 yen for the New Year's big sale. It's not that bad number, I think.

Hatsu-Uri in Kumamoto

I went to down town in Kumamoto with my sister on January 3. We looked around some stores but didn't buy anything special. There weren't anything we want to buy. That's because we already bought enough in Fukuoka and at Clear. We had a lunch at Hanamaru-Udon and came back to home quickly that day.
